Reflected Knowledge
Day, the sun shines down on the world,
Sharing what the eyes see, what the mind thinks.
Night, the moon reflects and immitates the sun's glory,
The eyes do not always see, the mind is sometimes clouded.
The Sun returns again, but which is real:
The harsh sharp-edged outlines brought out by the sun,
Or, the indistinct dream-like vision seen by the light of reflected knowledge.
Knowledge is the light of a door opening in the dark.
The hallway, no longer mysterious, is illuminated,
Until the door closes again.
